Herp of the day: White-fronted water snake

The White-fronted Water Snake or Sabah Keelback (Amphiesma flavifrons) is a nonvenomous snake species found on Borneo. These snakes are usually found in water or nearby foliage, where they will hunt for amphibians and their eggs. 

Adults are about 54 cm (21 inches) in total length, of which about 18 cm (7 inches) is tail. There’s not much known about the reproductive biology of this species.
